Nolichucky Tree Planting (Greene County)

Join us on Saturday morning, October 25, for a community tree planting along the Nolichucky River in Greene County, TN. When Tropical Storm Helene washed out riverbanks, it destroyed valuable wildlife habitat and stripped away the natural vegetation that reduces sedimentation and protects water quality.

Our friends at Green Interchange are working to stabilize the riverbank and restore a 5-acre conservation site with native trees and shrubs, and we need your help! Planting these trees will:

• Rebuild lost habitat for birds and wildlife

• Strengthen and protect the riverbank

• Filter runoff and improve water quality
